Globally, we need to find ways to both reuse materials and to reduce the climate footprint of producing new materials.

Finding a home for used tires

Used tires are an excellent feedstock for upcycling given ample supply and robust collection.

Despite this, only 28% are turned into new products today. Half are either burned for energy or landfilled.

Therefore, there is a tremendous opportunity to find new productive uses for waste tires. Our technology both:

•  saves tires from the landfill, and

• offsets new material manufacturing emissions

Why silicone?

Silicones are indispensable in industry. However, silicones are

• Expensive 

• Have a large carbon footprint (est. 16.3 kg CO2e/kg silicone)

Offsetting new silicone with waste tires is both economically viable and creates an enormous climate benefit.
